About Us

Loving care and the comforts of home surround children at Hope. A variety of residential programs ensure children live in an environment that supports their individual needs.

Judith Ann Jordan Campus Residential Program

The five on-campus, dormitory-style homes are designed to meet the needs of medically fragile children and youth, and to support the growth and independence of children and youth who need additional skills and maturity to succeed in a community setting.

Community Reintegration Program (CRP)

Within the Campus Residential Program, CRP provides intensive, evidence-based programs and services to adolescents who have a diagnosis of mild to moderate cognitive impairment and a mental illness. CRP’s goal is to prevent long-term, out-of-home residential or group home placements. To support their stabilization process, youth live in an on-campus home for up to two years.

Judith Ann Jordan Community Residential Program

The Community Residential Program includes 10 family-style homes set in Springfield neighborhoods. These homes provide appropriate levels of supervision and expectations of independence based on the youths’ needs and capabilities.

Transitional Living Arrangement

The Transitional Living Arrangement is designed for young adults preparing to leave The Hope Institute and move to a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA). Youth live in a community home where programs and activities help them develop independence skills necessary to succeed in adult community homes.

Recreation Program

Youth can choose to participate in numerous on-campus after-school, evening and weekend programs designed to promote their mental, emotional and physical well-being. Programs include:  arts and crafts, cheerleading, sports teams (basketball, soccer, track and field),  Photography Club, Boy Scouts, Walk-a-Mile Club, salsa dancing and others. Youth also enjoy monthly special events, such as talent shows, school dances and holiday parties.

Judith Ann Jordan Summer Camp

During the summer, students attend Extended School Year in the morning and camp in the afternoon, where the focus shifts from academics to play-based activities that promote fun and continue learning within a structured environment. The camp is managed by The Hope Center for Residential Services and conducted in collaboration with The Hope School Learning Center.
